La Thuile has news in store for Internazionali d’Italia Series’ contenders

The Internazionali d’Italia Series Stage 4 organizers are working on the course to bring a refreshed look for the HC event scheduled on Saturday, June 3rd

Over the last few years, La Thuile MTB Race has been a byword for a great MTB show. After assigning the Internazionali d’Italia Series’ crowns in 2021 and 2022, the Aosta Valley event will host the fourth out of five stages of the 2023 of Internazionali d’Italia Series calendar, as well as the second 2023 UCI Junior Series event in Italy, on Saturday, June 3rd, and Sunday, June 4th.

La Thuile rose in the ranks of the international Cross Country establishing itself as a favorite destination for the training of top riders, in addition to hosting a highly regarded MTB race on its own.

In view of the Internazionali d’Italia Series stage, La Thuile MTB Race’s organizers are bringing some new tweaks in the racecourse with the goal to make it even more interesting. The main areas of interest will be the climb after the feed zone and the iconic Rock Garden.

“On the climb, we wanted to enhance the show and bring a better experience for the fans on the trackside. The changes to the rock garden will be very impactful because it will be moved, while remaining in the final part of the lap. We have identified a new area immersed in the woods, and in the next few days, we will start building it up”, explained Enrico Martello, the Bike Park La Thuile technical director.

Internazionali d’Italia Series will resume in La Thuile with Simone Avondetto and the local athlete Martina Berta in the lead of the Open categories, whilst another home athlete, Andreas Emanuel Vittone, and Dane Sofie Pedersen are on top of the U23 classifications. Finally, Diego Milan and Elisa Lanfranchi hold the lead in the Junior categories.

La Thuile MTB Race’s program will start on Saturday, June 3rd with the UCI Junior Series race at 10.00, followed by the Women’s competitions at 12.00 and the Men’s Open race at 14.00. On Sunday, June 4th, the Youth competitions (Rookies and Cadets) will close the schedule.
