A new pump track section for La Thuile MTB Race

The 2022 Internazionali d’Italia Series will end with the HC event in Aosta Valley on Saturday, June 25th. A new pump track section will spice up the race course

Internazionali d’Italia Series is headed to the Aosta Valley, where its grand finale will take place for the third straight time, in an amazing bike park characterized by spectacular trails immersed in the unique Alpine atmosphere.

La Thuile MTB Race (June 24-25-26) has surged to the UCI HC category, second only to UCI World Cup events. The La Thuile event is a byword of great show and duels between the best XCO riders in the world, courtesy of a very technical course that deserved plenty of credits from the top international athletes.

For the 2022 edition, technical director Enrico Martello added a brand-new section, passing through the new pump track realized by Velosolutions and homologated to host UCI competitions. An additional feature meant to make the race outcome even more thrilling.

“We like to keep bringing novelties, as part of our vision of Cross Country racing,” explained Martello. – “The La Thuile ring is one of the most challenging in the MTB season, and the new pump track section, somewhat recalling the one of Nove Mesto, could spice things up, even more, the race course.”

Other key sections of the route were confirmed, such as the famed “The King” rock garden, that has often proved crucial for the race outcome.

The La Thuile MTB Race program covers three days: the Italian Youth XCE Championships will be be held on Friday, June 24th from 16.00 to 18.00 CEST. Saturday, June 25th is dedicated to the Internazionali d’Italia Series events (Junior Men at 10.30 CEST, Open and Junior Women at 12.30 CEST, Open Men at 15.00 CEST).
