The South Tyrolean race, scheduled for April 3-5, has already requested a new date on the Italian Cycling Federation calendar
Sunshine Racers Nals and Internazionali d’Italia Series announce that the second race of the circuit, Marlene Südtirol Sunshine Race, scheduled in Nalles (Italy) on next April 3rd to 5th, has been postponed to a later date, following the extraordinary measures adopted by the Italian Government for the containment of the Coronavirus COVID-19 outbreak.
“Even in the state of unease and uncertainty generated by this situation, we were hoping to hold the event according to plan, as our 20th edition was scheduled right at the end of the sporting events‘ interruption period,” explained Florian Pallweber, President of Sunshine Racers Nals.
“Unfortunately, such option was ruled out by the extension of more restrictive measures to the whole Italian territory, as the new prescriptions will not allow us to make the necessary preparations for an international event. At this time, public health and safety must come before any other consideration.”
The Organizing Committee, with the support of the Internazionali d’Italia Series, has already requested the Italian Cycling Federation to reschedule the race to a later date. All the related communications will be provided as soon as possible.
