The first stage of Internazionali d’Italia Series, scheduled for Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 March, cannot take place in compliance with the Prime Minister’s Decree of March 1st, 2020

Andora Race Cup, 1st stage of the 2020 Internazionali d’Italia Series calendar, will not take place on the scheduled dates of Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 March 2020, following the government measures related to the spread of the Coronavirus COVID-19.

Organizing company Andora Race acknowledged the Prime Minister’s Decree of March 1st, 2020, that included the Province of Savona in the so-called “Yellow Zone”, providing for the suspension of all sporting events and shows in the indicated areas (except for those interdicted to public) until Sunday March 8th, 2020.

“We are obviously sorry to see our plans vanish only few days before the scheduled date – commented the Italian National Team coach Mirko Celestino, organizing coordinator of Andora Race Cup – but we are well aware of the difficulties our Country is facing with regard to this emergency, and we agree that public health must be the absolute priority in this delicate juncture.”

Backed by the organizers of the Internazionali d’Italia Series, Andora Race Cup will verify with the Italian Cycling Federation the possibility of re-scheduling the event in the 2020 calendar. The eventual new date will be communicated as soon as possible.
