Valentina Corvi won the first stage of the Internazionali d’Italia Series in the Junior Women category.
The 2005-born from Italy crossed the finish line in San Zeno di Montagna in first place, under a mild sun on Sunday, March 6th.
The Trinx Factory Team rider concluded the four laps in 1h02’56”, having set an unbearable pace her the opponents from the beginning: after the first lap, the gap to second-placed Sophie Auer (Junior Team Südtirol ASV) was already at 22″. Corvi kept on pushing to increase her margin over 1.30 at one point, eventually clinching her effort with a 1.18 gap on Auer.
Italy’s Lorena Cadalbert (BRV Racing/VC Project +3’10”) rounded out the top-3, moving up positions in the finale. Fourth place for Beatrice Fontana (Team Rudy Project, +3’44”), who outsprinted fellow teammate Lucrezia Braida (+3’45”).
